Identifying Active Students, Full Sections, Multi-Course Enrollments, and Instructor Teaching Loads

Overview

In education administration, identifying key patterns helps support decision-making. This includes finding active students, detecting full or near-capacity sections, identifying students enrolled in multiple courses, and understanding instructor workloads.

The students table helps identify active students using the student_status field.

The sections table allows you to evaluate capacity using max_capacity.

The enrollments table shows how many courses a student is taking.

The teaching_assignments table helps measure how many sections each instructor is teaching.

These insights are useful for managing enrollment, balancing class sizes, and allocating teaching resources.
