Combining Everything

STEP 4 — Combining Everything (a.k.a. Your Game’s Full Decision-Making Brain)

OH WE ARE SO BACK — and you’ve made it to Step 4, the grand finale of Unit 6.

This is where your game stops making tiny baby decisions and starts making big-brain, galaxy-level choices using ALL the logic tools at once.

Buckle up. This one’s spicy.

Alright coder, you’ve learned:

  • if — the confident choice
  • else — the backup plan
  • elif — the “wait, actually…” option

Now we combine them with logic operators to create REAL game intelligence.

This is where your game goes from “I check one thing” to

“I evaluate MULTIPLE things at once like a strategic mastermind.”

1. Logic Operators: The Secret Sauce

These operators let you combine conditions:

  • and → BOTH things must be true
  • or → at least ONE thing must be true
  • not → flips True/False like a pancake

Your game now has logic superpowers.

2. Example: Battle Decision System

health = 20
enemy_near = True

if health < 30 and enemy_near:
    print("You should heal NOW!")

Your game now panics only when it’s actually appropriate.

Growth.

Click Run

3. Example: Shop Access

coins = 15
has_membership = False

if coins >= 10 or has_membership:
    print("You can enter the shop!")
else:
    print("Access denied.")

Your game now understands capitalism.

Click Run

4. Example: Sneaking Logic

is_dark = True
wearing_armor = False

if is_dark and not wearing_armor:
    print("You sneak successfully.")
else:
    print("You make too much noise!")

Your game now judges your stealth skills.

Ruthlessly.

Click Run

Practice (Your Turn!)

Mini-Challenge

Write a condition that:

  • prints "Critical danger!" if health < 20 and enemy_near is True
  • otherwise prints "Situation stable."
Modify and Run

Boom.

Your game now reacts to danger like a seasoned adventurer.

End of Step 4 — You Now Have a Fully Thinking Game

You’ve combined:

  • if
  • elif
  • else
  • and, or, not

Your game can now make complex decisions, evaluate multiple conditions, and behave like an actual RPG system.
